Norwegian Polar Institute (NPI) in cooperation with the Governor of Svalbard has prepared an interactive set of maps for Svalbard. It includes place names, various thematic maps, historical sea ice extend data and much more.

 The interactive map of Svalbard has several advanced functions, allows for both search for information and for adding your own tekst, drawing, printing and cutting out. Most of the information included here is also available through Miljøstatus i Norge and Google Earth.

The service is continuously updated by both NPI and the Governor of Svalbard.
