In May 2009, SSF will hold a workshop to initiate the 'Terrestrial Ecosystems' Research Flagship for Ny-Ålesund. Only invited researchers can participate the workshop, but all comments and suggestions are welcome.

The meeting will be held in Oslo, 6-8 May 2009. The workshop aims for a contribution to the Ny-Ålesund science plan with focus on international collaboration and an analysis of potential gaps in our present research focus. The resulting document should be a master plan for future directions of research in Ny-Ålesund, also in the light of SIOS. We hope to invite relevant scientists from all stations. At this moment we are gathering names of potential participants.
