Rifles |
| If you are counting on renting rifles, you should make enquires in advance. You should also make sure to get instructions as to how to use it as there are a number of types and models.
If you are not familiar with weapons, make sure to get target practice.
You need to have a Norwegian Firearms Certificate, European Weapon
Passport or other documentation proving that you are authorized or
permitted to carry a firearm in your home country if you want to
rent a weapon. Persons who do not have a firearm certificate, must apply
to the Governor of Svalbard for the right to rent a firearm. In order to
apply for a temporary permit from the Governor you need a certificate of
conduct from your police office (not older than 6 month).
