The accommodation offers range from camping, appartments and guesthouses to high quality hotels with seminar and conference facilities.
However, during certain periods there is a great demand for accommodation, so it is recommended to make reservations well in advance of your stay.

Since 2009, International Hostelling offers accommodation
in Longyearbyen during the summer months. Prices are between 400-700
NOK/bed. for more details go:

Studentsamskipnaden (Student housing) in Tromsø has
several houses in Longyearbyen and offers visiting researchers rooms
on a weekly basis. They have one bed rooms with common kitchen and
bathroom available and costs are 1 900 NOK/week and room (price per
July 2009). One week is the minimum period you can book the room.
You can rent bed clothing and order washing of the room after you
